The Negotiation test uses everyday situations that people may encounter in a workplace setting to evaluate their responses. The test contains 20 hypothetical scenarios designed to assess a candidate's ability to negotiate effectively by clarifying needs to identify points of agreement, exploring win-win solutions, keeping discussions problem-focused, and dealing with emotions and conflict constructively.

Why measure Negotiation?

Negotiation skills allow a dialogue between two or more people to help settle differences by reaching a settlement that is acceptable to all parties involved. It pertains to the capacity to analyse arguments, actively listen, and genuinely understand the needs, interests, and expectations of others.

People who are skilled at negotiating may be able to negotiate using a win-win, interest-based strategy, separate the person from the problem when dealing with conflictual situations, focus on interests rather than positions, generate options for mutual advantage, and insist on objective criteria and fair standards.
